Just came home and already miss OUR Sankarest and its owners and staff with their hospitality and kindness. I said OUR Sankarest cause you really feel there as one of the family. You have this tropical garden, perfectly clean swimming pool, shadowy terrace where so nice to play cards and stones and drink some lankan rum with friends and Koni, our nice host. Clean Kosgoda beach is just 2 min via next hotel or by the short road. But beware strong ocean currents and local beachboys who crowded around entrance to a beach and firstly obsessive and then become agressive when you decline their offers to bring you somewhere. While you are with Koni and Sunita you have everything whatever you want - good and healthy food, service and transfers wherever you want including long trips around Sri Lanka (thanks to Rohan who was our good driver and intelligent guide). Come to Sankarest to get your own experience!
